What Our Directors Say's

FROM DIRECTORS DESK

I Dr. Satish Bobade, completed my education till post-graduation from Pune. After completion, I was faced with the dilemma of working in Big city like Pune which had ample resources and doctors or coming to a rural place like Baramati which had no Orthopedic surgeon.
Patients from Baramati needed to travel to Pune for all the ailments related to Orthopedics. The city didn’t even have any trauma setup to manage and treat primary trauma and complex cases. With the humble beginnings, I started working in Baramati since 1988 with the goal of providing the treatment and care that I learned from Sancheti Hospital, Pune.
I started with a small rental clinic which helped to me start my practice. I understood the requirement of the patients and therefore in 1-year time I started a small hospital with my own Operation theatre and Indoor facility. With availability of local Orthopedic surgeon in Baramati and providing humanitarian care to all needy and poor patients irrespective of the expectations of any monetary returns. This first hospital was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Mahrashtra- Hon. Shri. Sharad Pawar. As I came from a middle class family with limited resources, I understood the need of providing good quality of care to patients in affordable costs and I pracitse that till now. With passing years I attended various National and International conferences and kept my knowledge updated. As the flow of patients increased and we perceived a need to increase our bed capacity and therefore, in 1992 we shifted to the current hospital setup with capacity of 30 beds.

Upgrading to state of the art hospital with good Operation theater and Indoor facilities gave me immense satisfaction in providing care for the needy patients in and around Baramati. We started with difficult cases like Spine surgery, Illizarov surgery and Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty. Many of the big well renowned surgeons came from Pune to assist in development of these specialities. In 2004, we upgraded our OT to Laminar Airflow OT which was the first OT in Baramati to do so. And then we frequently did Total Knee replacement (TKR) and Total Hip Replacement (THR) cases. In those era when such surgeries were done only by top surgeons of Pune and Mumbai, I did those and helped lot of patients to achieve painfree life.
I personally believe that bringing human touch and empathy in treatment of patients is the only way of providing good healthcare. There is a need to optimize the patient-centric practices to build on a patient's trust in order to restore the importance of an empathetic approach in Medicine.
I hope that we would help you in improving your health and a providing better future with Bobade Accident Hospital, Baramati. We hope that our website offers you good insight into our services and many offerings, and provides you with well-researched medical information.
